The Story of My Life

I’ve always wanted to summarize my life somewhere, and I think this is the perfect place to do it.

To be honest, I’ve always felt like I’ve had a special life not because I have money, not because I’m famous (none of that is true… yet), but because of the unique journey I’ve been on and the way I see the world.

I believe I have some great skills, but let’s be clear I’m not a genius. I’m just an ordinary guy who works hard, stays curious, and never stops learning. What makes me fortunate is that the things I truly enjoy doing happen to align closely with what society values. This idea closely relates to Ikigai — a Japanese concept about finding purpose and fulfillment. Still, I feel like I’m continuously searching for that perfect balance.

Chapter 1 — The Beginning

I don’t remember much from when I was a baby — which I guess is normal. But there’s something a little unusual about my story.

I was born in Nepal, in a small village called Nayagaun. It’s a quiet place surrounded by nature, and it shaped many of my earliest values and dreams.

I grew up in a humble household. My parents worked hard to provide for me, and even though we didn’t have much, our home was always filled with warmth and laughter. Festivals like Dashain and Tihar were magical, the lights, music, and unity still bring back fond memories.

As a kid, I was endlessly curious. I’d often take apart toys just to see how they worked, while others played outside. That curiosity became the foundation of my love for technology.

Life in the village wasn’t easy. Opportunities were limited, and at times the outside world felt far away. But those challenges taught me perseverance and gratitude, shaping the person I am today.

Chapter 2 — First Dreams and Curiosity

As I grew older, my curiosity only deepened. We had a TV at home, which was entertaining, but it always felt like a one way experience, just watching, never interacting.

The first time I saw a computer was at my aunt’s house, my cousin had one. Unlike the TV, the computer felt alive. You could type, click, and create things. I didn’t understand much back then, but I knew I wanted to learn.

Around the same time, I discovered another world of hands on learning at my uncle’s mobile shop. He showed me how to fix phones, and I was thrilled when I managed to repair a smartwatch that was otherwise unusable. The experience was super interesting I loved figuring out how things worked and solving problems with my own hands.

These experiences exploring the computer and repairing gadgets, ignited my curiosity even more. I started tinkering with anything I could get my hands on, from broken toys to small electronics. Each discovery felt like a tiny step toward something bigger.

Looking back, those early experiments didn’t just teach me technical skills they taught me patience, problem-solving, and the thrill of creating, planting the seeds of my dream: to build, to learn, and to keep exploring no matter what.

Chapter 3 — Struggles and Growth

In class 8, I moved from Banke to Bardiya to study Veterinary Animal Science and stayed at my sister’s house. This change gave me the chance to learn English, take an advanced computer course, teach others, and gain hands-on experience in agriculture. Some reasons for my move are personal, but they made me stronger and more resilient.

Around this time, I also discovered gaming — my first online game was Clash of Clans and my first PC game was Vice City. Games became a fun escape and taught me strategy and patience.

Academically, my interests evolved:

  • Class 1–3: General Knowledge and computers
  • Class 4–8: Math
  • Class 9 onward: Animal Health

After class 10, I returned to Kohalpur, Banke, and completed a Diploma in Computer Engineering. Now, I am pursuing further studies, continuing to learn, explore, and grow.

Moving to a new district, adapting to new environments, and balancing studies and hobbies taught me resilience, curiosity, and the value of embracing challenges.

Chapter 4 — Discovering Purpose

During my Diploma in Computer Engineering, I discovered my true passion: backend coding. My first programming language was C, which I learned in college. Writing code and solving problems gave me a thrill I had never experienced before.

Around the same time, I was introduced to Linux, which opened up a whole new world of possibilities. My first Linux distribution was Kali Linux, and I quickly became fascinated by the flexibility, control, and power it offered. It was also my first introduction to ricing — customizing and theming my Linux environment — which completely drew me in. I became so engrossed in it that I spent hours experimenting with configurations, themes, and layouts. Now, I’ve been using Arch Linux for almost four years, and it has become an essential part of my workflow and learning journey.

While exploring programming, I also learned web development in college and created my first portfolio website. Building the website allowed me to combine my backend skills with frontend elements, giving me a sense of achievement and a tangible product to show for my efforts.

I began experimenting with small projects, building backend systems, and exploring programming frameworks. The combination of coding, problem-solving, web development, and working in Linux reinforced my desire to create useful and meaningful software, and it gave me a clear direction for my further studies and projects.

Looking back, the curiosity that began with a computer at my aunt’s house, tinkering with gadgets at my uncle’s shop, and ricing Linux environments had now evolved into a purposeful pursuit of backend development and open systems, a path I continue to follow enthusiastically.

Chapter 5 — Breakthrough Moments

During college, I started working on projects that challenged me and allowed me to grow. I created my portfolio website, which showcased my skills and gave me confidence in building functional software.

A major milestone was building a Student Management System in Django and many more, where I applied backend concepts like databases, models, and user authentication, and integrated frontend features to make it user-friendly.

I also got introduced to many programming languages, experimenting with them to create small projects and strengthen my coding skills.

Meanwhile, Linux and open-source tools became a vital part of my workflow. Ricing my setups made my workspace enjoyable and improved my system administration skills.

These projects were not just technical exercises, they were proofs of my abilities and laid the foundation for more complex work, collaborations, and real-world applications.

Chapter 6 — Challenges of Adulthood

Adulthood brought a new set of challenges. Balancing further studies, personal projects, and self-learning was not always easy. There were times when progress felt slow, and obstacles seemed overwhelming.

Moving between districts, adapting to new environments, and managing responsibilities taught me resilience and independence. Learning new technologies, frameworks, and programming languages often felt like a steep climb, but persistence paid off.

During this time, I also faced distractions and struggles, like balancing gaming, curiosity, and productive work. Yet, these challenges shaped my discipline, focus, and problem-solving skills, preparing me for more complex projects and real-world work.

Chapter 7 — Building My Future

After overcoming the challenges of adulthood, I have focused on further studies, personal projects, and expanding my skills. Backend development, web technologies, and Linux systems remain my main areas of interest, but I continue exploring new programming languages, frameworks, and tools to stay versatile.

I have also gained professional experience working as a Backend Developer at Venusion Infotech Pvt. Ltd., where I contributed to real-world projects, solving practical problems and strengthening my development skills.

I am working on projects that not only enhance my skills but also have practical applications, from building web applications to automating workflows. Every project is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and improve, reinforcing my confidence and competence as a developer.

Looking ahead, my goal is to create meaningful software, contribute to open-source projects, and continuously push myself to innovate. I aim to combine my curiosity, creativity, and technical expertise to build solutions that make a real impact and shape a successful, fulfilling career.

Chapter 8 — Philosophy & Reflections

Looking back on my journey, I realize that life is a mix of curiosity, challenges, and growth. From my early days tinkering with gadgets, discovering computers, and exploring Linux, to building projects and learning new technologies, each experience has shaped who I am today.

I have learned that persistence, curiosity, and adaptability are key to overcoming obstacles and achieving goals. Mistakes and setbacks are not failures, they are opportunities to learn and grow.

I have also come to value the importance of self learning, creativity, and sharing knowledge. Helping others, teaching, and collaborating have been as rewarding as personal achievements.

Ultimately, life is a continuous journey of learning, creating, and reflecting. I aim to carry these lessons forward, staying curious, embracing challenges, and building a future that aligns with my passions and purpose.
